Mommy Heather

It has been awhile since I posted anything. We have been busy busy getting ready for Kindergarten, Pre-K graduation, Trips to the beach and San Antonio. I have started teaching camp so I am working full time right now which is busy busy. The camp will be short lived since with all the daycare costs I am really not making much. So we have decided that I am going to quit the rest of the summer and take Bobby out of daycare, till Summer ends. Once summer ends I will be going back to work teaching preschool. I am so excited, I cannot wait. I don’t have to follow a lesson plan made for me I will make my own. I am gathering all the things to decorate my classroom. I am teaching at a Christian School 2 days a week which will then allow me to volunteer 3 days at Bobby’s school. So it is a win win thing.

These last few weeks or month has been BUSY. We went to the Rodeo about 3 weekends ago. Bobby had a blast, he petted Elise the cow and her baby, Pigs and now wants to be a cowboy. 

Last week Bobby lost his first tooth he was so excited we put it in his tooth pillow and then under his pillow. The tooth fairy left him $3.00, he was so excited.

We also went to the Kindergarten Orientation Bobby is so excited for big school. Mommy and Daddy are not so excited and can foresee issues. I told Bill if I heard the Kindergarten Team Leader say “They Getta” one more time I was going to scream. To think she is 1 want is teaching our kiddos, 2 is over the all the Kinder teachers makes me really afraid. 

Well tonight Bobby lost his second tooth. It was just hanging there so Daddy pulled it.

Last Friday we headed to the Children’s Museum. Bobby had a blast but we were a little disappointed because some of the exhibits were closed as they were redoing the Museum.

The first part of the week was good. The last half my oh my we had a SICK SICK boy. It started Tuesday night Bobby went to bed coughing. I thought it was an allergy flare up. He finally drifted off to sleep. Wednesday he woke up and came to lay in bed with me (not normal). We got up and got breakfast poor little man said Mommy I don’t feel well. He again went and layed on the couch. He coughed and would not eat. I felt his head and he was burning up. I took his temp 102.6 he has never had that high of fever. Got him to eat a little gave him Motrin and called the dr. She could not see us till 2:00, 15 mins later it was up to 103.4 and Mommy panicked. Called the dr back they told us to be there in 30 mins and put him in a luke warm bath. Poor little man was just shaking. It really did not bring it down.

Went to the dr and little guy has the Flu type B. First time and he even had his flu shot. She said we caught it early and gave us meds. It has been a rough week. He would go from being playing to laying around when his fever would go up. He was in the house Wedneday & Thursday, his fever broke on Friday so we went to the grocery store. Poor guy missed his good friend Sam’s birthday party that he had been looking forward to as much. Mommy made it up to him by having a play date at the park with Sam on Wednesday.

It has been a little over 2 weeks since I updated with pictures. It is not that I have not taken any it I have not had a chance to post them.

Bobby came to us the other night saying his tooth was super loose and another one was loose also. So Mommy checked it out and we have a couple more weeks to go before it comes out. Then the one right next to it is also loose so he will be loosing 2 right in a row all bottom teeth.

The last 2 weekends have just had really nice spring like weather so we soaked it up and hit the park. They have a new idea in Katy they build the kids will come play. So we have gotten 2 new parks within a mile of each other. Which is really nice since some of the parks have been there 20 plus years.

The Climber

It has been a couple of days and I need to add some pictures, it is not that I have not taken any I just have not processed them. 

We bought Bobby something called Tag Reader by Leap Frog to help him get ready for reading. Well tonight has been the first night I have gotten a chance to sit down and use it with him. Yes I know bad Mommy. It is really a cute little gadget. You have 3 settings level 1 reader, 2 & 3 you can let it read the book for you, move it word by word where they touch the word and it reads it. Play word games and a whole lot more. We bought him 4 books to go along with it but I am thinking that we need to get more.

Every night during the nightly routine which is bath, brush teeth, PJs, sometimes a reading a book watch a movie & bed. Bobby loves taking his bath we let him play in the tub for a little bit to unwind a little.

On Christmas day my aunt told us that she has cancer. She started chemo and radation at the beginning of this month. She was told that she would not loose her hair well this week she is loosing her hair. We are in need of prayers for her strength and that the chemo kills the cancer. 

As a little girl my sister and I were always close to her. She had no kids so we were kind of like her kids. When we stayed at my grandma’s during holiday or summer she would come by on her way home and we would go get Cherry Slurpees. My grandma would always ask us what my aunt was good for and I would say Cherry Slurpees.

Bobby discovered tonight that he has a loose tooth. His first loose tooth, he said Mommy my tooth is breaking. I told him no that he had a loose tooth and that his big boy teeth are ready to come in. Then Daddy proceeded to tell him that when his tooth comes out that he can put in under is pillow and the tooth fairy will bring him money. 

Now Mommy has to find the tooth pillow Mawmaw bought him when he was 2. I know I put it in a safe place but where that safe place was I don’t remember. HUM

I have been a little behind this week posting pictures. I have been a little under the weather this week so I have not felt well at night to post any.

We went to a play date Monday at our friend Caleb & Cristina’s house. They had a blast Caleb has a mini inflatable for all the kids to jump in. It is a little blurry but I thought it showed him being a typical little boy.
